San Pedro de Alcantara is a beautiful unspoilt pueblo with a charming appeal of its own. Steeped in character once famous for sugar cane, today San Pedro de Alcántara is in an ideal situation, just 10km west from the glamour of Marbella and only a few minutes’ drive from the stunning Sierra de Ronda mountain range and just a short 20km drive from the town of Estepona.
San Pedro de Alcantara is not a large town, so it still has a village feel where the locals all know each other, and chat away in all the cafes and bars that line the streets. The heart of the town, just a few minutes’ walk from San Pedro Apartments, has a pedestrianised shopping street, church and square. There are small bars, cafes and restaurants everywhere in San Pedro, so within a short walk you can explore the delights of traditional Spanish dishes, tapas, and other nationality foods.
